Hand knitted in Cornwall by local maker Jenny Rose, this one of a kind vest has been created entirely from carefully collected vintage mohair yarns, giving forgotten fibres a beautiful second life. No new yarns. No waste. Just colour, creativity and countless hours of patient handwork.
Jenny never works from a pattern. Each piece grows instinctively, stitch by stitch, meaning no two vests will ever be the same. Once it has found its home, it can never be recreated.
Soft heather grey provides the backdrop for joyful bands of turquoise, cobalt, raspberry, coral and warm orange, creating a piece that feels both playful and timeless. On the back, Jenny has hand embroidered the word "Oddball", a playful tribute to the collection of vintage mohair oddments that came together to create this vest. Some of Jenny's knits feature stitched words inspired by the making process, making each piece even more personal.
The vintage mohair has a beautiful natural stretch, allowing the vest to comfortably mould to a variety of body shapes and sizes while retaining its relaxed silhouette. Layer it over dresses, shirts or simple tees and enjoy it through every season.
In a world of fast fashion, these are the opposite. Thoughtfully made, impossible to mass produce and created with care by the hands of a local maker we're incredibly proud to share with our community.

Jenny Rose is a neighbour and friend of Naked Generation. A grandmother, forager and lifelong maker, she spends her days creating joyful one of a kind knitwear from vintage mohair. Each piece reflects her belief that beautiful things should be made slowly, worn often and treasured for years to come.
The Story of Our Block Printing, Our Indian Artisans, and Why Slow Craft Matters
Some stories begin quietly, with curiosity. Ours began with a deep pull towards something older than trends. Something slower. Something real.
Block printing has been part of Naked Generation from the very beginning. Not as a technique, but as a philosophy. A way of making that honours time, touch, and tradition.
This ancient textile craft, practiced in India for thousands of years, uses hand-carved wooden blocks to print fabric with natural or low-impact dyes. Each pattern is pressed by hand, one layer at a time, creating subtle imperfections that make every piece unique. No two are ever the same.
This is not mass production. This is memory in motion.
Our Journey with Our Indian Artisans
Our relationship with block printing began through travel, curiosity, and a desire to understand where our clothing comes from. Over time, this became something deeper than sourcing. It became connection.
We have been incredibly lucky to work with artisans whose families have practiced this craft for generations. Their workshops are not factories. They are living spaces of rhythm and ritual. Blocks stacked like stories. Dye vats in deep indigo, rust, and earth tones. Fabrics drying under the open sky.
There is always chai. Always conversation. Always laughter.
Trust is built slowly. Over meals. Over long days. Over shared ideas. Over learning each other’s worlds. These relationships are not transactional. They are collaborative. Every print, every placement, every colour choice is discussed, tested, and felt.
We believe that who makes your clothes matters just as much as how they look.
How Our Block Printed Pieces Are Made
Each Naked Generation block printed piece begins with a hand-carved wooden block. These blocks are carved by skilled craftsmen, often using patterns that have been passed down through generations.
The fabric is first washed and prepared. Then comes the printing.
Dye is applied to the block, and the block is pressed by hand onto the fabric. One print. One moment. One breath. This is repeated again and again, building the pattern slowly. Alignment is done by eye, not by machine.
After printing, the fabrics are left to dry naturally in the sun. Then washed, softened, and prepared for cutting and sewing.
This process takes days, sometimes weeks. It cannot be rushed.
It is slow. It is human. It is full of intention.
This is why every Naked Generation piece feels alive. Because it is.
Why Slow Craft Matters
In a world built on speed, slow craft is a quiet rebellion.
It asks us to pause. To value hands. To respect skill. To remember that beauty does not need to be instant.
Block printing is not efficient. It is not perfect. It is not predictable. And that is exactly why it is sacred.

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Including any tote bags.

Please give 48 hours for refunds to be processed. Refunds will take 24 hours to appear in your bank once processed.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item but different size you need to return and make a separate order. We can't offer free of charge exchanges. Feel free to contact via email if you have any questions.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-7 working days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping
To return your product to address above.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
