PRINTED BY NATURE, KISSED BY THE SUN

Small-batch, hand-printed clothing for women who dress for themselves

The Women of Naked Generation

Naked Generation has always been about more than clothes. It’s about the women who wear them — women of every age and shape, each making these pieces entirely her own.

I’m Lara, and I started Naked Generation nearly seven years ago after a trip to Jaipur introduced me to the world of hand block printing. What began with my love of vintage bohemian dresses has grown into a community of women around the world who dress for themselves.

Together with our artisan partners in Jaipur, we create small batches to be worn, layered and loved for years.

I may have started Naked Generation, but it’s the women who wear it who have made it what it is today.

This dress feels like an extension of me. Earthy, soulful, free-spirited and full of warmth. I wear it during readings, slow mornings, creative days and moments where I want to feel most connected to myself. There’s something about it that feels both grounding and magical at the same time.

Just one of the most beautiful items I have collected to take with me through life. Made to last, to weather with me over the years, there for all the moments.
It was hard to choose just one item of clothing to represent the love and gratitude i have for The movement that is Naked generation.

I cant remember what life was like before Naked Generation, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't as beautiful!

Words from our community

"

I've reconnected with my love of 1970s style - putting on a Naked Generation dress genuinely makes me feel like a Cornish Stevie Nicks. I've unearthed a new-found admiration for hand block printing and naturally dyed fabric - once you've gone naturally dyed, you won't go back. And I've truly made peace with my body image - something I've struggled with throughout my life
