Emma's summer insights and tips

The summer is almost upon us. I always feel that the energy of summer is awakening, it re lights our inner fires, sparks new ideas and connect us to our family and friends. Summer officially starts on the 21st June with the Summer Solstice and finishes in September at the Autumn Equinox. So let’s look at some key moments that we can work with during this summer season season.
  • Summer to me is such a magical time of year. The warming temperatures as the weather changes, the bloomed flowers, everywhere is green and the hopes of long summer evenings on the beach!
  • Here are some seasonal activities that can bring summer to wherever you are.
Go for a Walk - Simple and easy, yet such a great way to get your body moving and enjoy the springtime. Get outside in the sun with a brisk walk around your neighbourhood.
Dine Al Fresco - Something about enjoying a meal outdoors just feels so special. During the warmer months, take more of your meals outdoors. Or grab some friends and go for a fun outdoor picnic somewhere beautiful in nature.
Visit the Ocean - Or, if you’re not on a coast, visit a local lake, river, etc. Get near some water and soak up the summer air!
Be Like A Kid Again -   Embrace your inner child and enjoy some summer playtime like the good old days! Play with bubbles, make daisy chains or even go on bike rides.
Fun In The Garden - In the warmer months, we’re more inclined to spend time outdoors. For me, one of my summer goals is to utilise my garden more! I love to sit out there and read or just relax Decorate your garden with things that bring you joy and make you feel relaxed.
Watch the Sunrise/Sunset - One of my favourite spring activities as an adult is watching the sunrise or sunset. Summer is the time for beautiful sunrises/sets. Take a moment away from screens, work, or other distracting areas of life and practice being present in this moment.
Take a Trip to the Beach - Nothing says summer quite like some time on the beach with your toes in the sand and the sun on your skin.
