BLYTHE B Jewellery + NAKED GENERATION

BLYTHE B Jewellery + NAKED GENERATION
A collaboration of texture, colour and shared love for detail
I met Blythe (virtually) through Instagram last year and quickly became obsessed with her collection. Her eye for detail and colour combinations are really a work of magic.
We quickly became fans of each others work and last month I decided to invite Blyth for a collaboration. She came back with huge enthusiasm, as I knew she would and when the box of her creations landed on my door step it took my breath away.
Blythe has taken inspiration from our prints and colour pallet and come up with the perfect match for accessories to team with our dresses.
Hand strung with tiny beeds, precious stones or coins. Each one holds its own character and charm.
Designed to wear layered together or mixed with your own special pieces.
I hope you enjoy this very special collection
Meet the designer...
Who is Blythe?
I am a London dweller where I live with my husband Oli and two boys. A stylist for Designers Guild for the past 27 years! Born and raised in Nairobi Kenya then moved to the exotic county of Essex! A cup always half full kind of girl who loves nothing more than pottering in my studio creating jewellery or painting.
My love of colour sparked my interest in beads, having brought a very ordinary necklace on line for a gift that arrived after an age and was very ordinary, I thought 'I can do better than that!'
I have always loved jewellery, fuelled by my husbands gift from his trips abroad and a bag of Ethiopian jewellery my dad brought home from one visit back to Africa... its always been a very important part of my look.
I love a brief, I mainly look at the environment where it will sit, whether thats a shop or whether I am making something to work off a fabric, does it need to be sophisticated, or more primary in colour, brights or muted. I build them up trying to make each piece have its own pace and texture. I also like things to be unsymmetrical, to break the rhythm with an unexpected shot of something. Doing this collection for Naked Generation was easy as I LOVE the brand ,  the colour palette and the shape of the pieces.
What inspired you to start making and creating with such delicate beads?
I take a lot of inspiration from tribal adornment, after all a maasai warrior did try to buy me for 2 cows as a child (true story). I love India its crazy colourful beauty, but  also I could be inspired by a vintage shirt, a painting or a beautiful photo in a magazine. Inspiration is everywhere, I have more trouble trying to reign my ideas in.
Ideal music to create to?
Thats easy, I'm an avid 6 music listener. I have a radio on in each room and love the different vibes you hear  during the day, I recently loved loyle Carners residency for 6 music. If I'm listening to an album its generally a woman vocal, I love Laura Marlin, Joni Mitchell or the Staves. However my all time fav is Stevie wonder. He moves me.
Your favourite from our collaboration?
Out of the collection that I have done for Naked Generation, mmm I would wear them all but I love the little choker style one I did to work off the Genevieve, its very neutral with that little golden circle, great to layer up with
other necklaces.
