There are some fabrics that just feel special the moment you touch them, and silk has always been one of those for me. It has this softness and movement that feels almost impossible to recreate in anything else. The way it catches the light, the way it falls around the body, the way it can make even the simplest shape feel a little bit magical. |
A Fabric With History |
Silk has been woven and worn in India for centuries, and it is such a beautiful part of the country’s textile story. Different regions have their own traditions, techniques and types of silk, each with their own character. There is so much history held in the fabric, but it never feels old or precious in a way that means it should be saved away. Quite the opposite, really. It feels made to be lived in. |

Why Silk Feels So Special |
Silk is one of those fabrics that somehow feels delicate and strong at the same time. It is soft, light and beautifully fluid, with a natural sheen that changes as it moves. It drapes rather than clings, which gives it that wonderfully effortless feel on the body. And although silk can feel luxurious, we love it most when it is worn in a relaxed, everyday way. With old denim, worn-in boots, sandals, chunky jewellery, or simply thrown over something you already love. Beautiful, but never too precious. |
Not Just For Summer |
One of the things we love most about silk is how easily it moves through the seasons. It feels light and breathable on warmer days, but it also makes such a beautiful layering fabric when the temperature drops. A silk shirt with jeans and sandals in summer can become the same shirt beneath a chunky knit in autumn. A kimono thrown over swimwear can later be worn over denim and boots. A floaty dress can be worn alone in the sunshine, then layered over a fine tee or knit when the evenings get cooler. I love clothes that do not belong to one season. Things you can keep reaching for, styling differently and making your own as the year changes. |

One-Off Treasures From India |
This little collection came home with us from India and every piece is completely one-off. Shirts, wrap tops, layered skirts, dresses, kaftans and kimonos, all made from 100% silk and chosen because something about the print, colour or shape caught our eye. There is something especially lovely about knowing there is only one. No endless rails of the same thing. Just one piece, waiting for the person who sees it and thinks, yes, that one. |
Made To Be Worn Your Way |
The shapes are loose, flowing and easy. Wraps that can be tied in different ways, dresses that can be adjusted, shirts that can be worn buttoned up or left open as a layer. They are pieces that move with you rather than asking you to fit neatly into them. And maybe that is what makes silk feel so romantic. It moves. It changes. It catches the light differently depending on where you are and how you wear it. A little bit undone, a little bit luxurious, and completely your own. |
